I’m feeling just a bit of anxiety after reading the ARTVOICE article Paved With Good Intentions.
I’m a fan of both Niagara Falls and the city of the same name in New York. I visit once or twice a year for hiking, walking, biking, and exploring. I’ve been to many areas described in this article and I’ve taken countless photographs.
The problem? I’ve had lesions removed that turned out to be basil cell carcinoma—on my legs, which I always though was odd even though I was a sun worshipper back in my younger days and most of the exposure and burns I experienced was on my face, arms, and shoulders.
So, is it possible that I’ve come in contact with some of the highly radioactive material used for fill in so many areas of Niagara Falls? I’m so disgusted with politicians and industry. Anything for a fucking dollar, damn the people…
