PA Rep. Mike Kelly has been getting some attention with his rant in Congress the other day (nearly half a million views in TWO days). The guy can speak, I’ll give him that, but it’s times like this that I really miss Kathy Dahlkemper.
Save us, Ms. Dahlkemper. You’re our only hope!
What a blowhard. This is what I actually heard:
“This town is so out of touch! I called Fred in the body shop and asked him how much tape costs. It’s only $2 a roll. But we charge our customers $40 for that tape. We used to charge $20, but with all this government red tape and consumer bullshit I have to deal with, I had to hire a secretary at minimum wage and tack that on to the price, too. But why isn’t it OK for my car dealership to charge our customers $200 for that damn yellow tape? All this government regulation is horrible…to my wallet. Not only do I want top dollar for that tape, I want to fire the damn secretary, too, and I want that for businesses across the country. Take that heavy boot off the job creators and let them…rampage our customer’s wallets. Let the tide rise for all…business and job creator boats. And to hell with the American consumer, their health, and their stinking education. U-S-A! U-S-A!”
