shortformblog: It’s an invasion of privacy for private employers to insist on looking at people’s private Facebook pages as a condition of employment or consideration in an application process.  People are entitled to their private lives. You’d be appalled if your employer insisted on opening up your postal mail to see if there was anything of interest inside. It’s equally out of bounds for an...

New Hampshire Defeats Gay Marriage Repeal
The effort to repeal the same-sex marriage law and replace it with Civil Unions went down to a stunning defeat today, 211-116, despite claims by the National Organization for Marriage that it not only would pass, but had the votes for a veto override.  Just amazing.  Washington Blade story.

I love how Ricky wants to run an anti-porn campaign.  I also love how he twists the truth, which is the true Christian way.

Mile 111
Over 100 miles on my bikes since January 11th.  Last year I hadn’t logged a single mile until April 10th.  It helps to have a winter beater…and summer temperatures.  I had a 21-mile trek today, mostly on the Oil Creek State Park bike path, which was a cool way to spend the morning.  Onward to 1,000 miles!

bitshare: The entertainment industry are some sneaky bastards - yeah, I am looking at you RIAA. So, remember the whole SOPA thing where we came together as one Internet to stop the evils of Hollywood bribing lawmakers to track our online activities and shut down sites like Tumblr, Reddit and YouTube? – The New York Times, “Church Puts Pressure on Abuse Victims’ Group.” William Donohue, that fucking attack dog and pig incarnate, speaks his defense of the Catholic Church with no irony whatsoever.  What a vile dirtbag, just as vile as priests who sexually assault children. (via inothernews) ...
